Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
If you're looking for a fascinating and educational experience, make the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium a priority on your itinerary. Having the distinction of being the only combined zoo and aquarium in the Pacific Northwest, you'll have 29-acres to explore animals in their natural habitat and at play. Admire art exhibits featuring murals, glass sculptures and light installations. The South Pacific Aquarium is home to fifteen sharks, a stingray cove, and a tropical lagoon with colorful tropical fish and a moray eel named Gordon. The Tidal Touch Zone is a favorite for kids to engage fully by touching, feeling and connecting with marine life such as the Blood sea star, the purple sea urchin, the giant plumrose anemone and much more!
